The Office of the Executive Engineer, System & Operation Division Bemina, Srinagar, has issued an official notification regarding the scheduled power shutdown for the 475 MVA, 220/132 kV Grid Sub Station at Mir Bazar and the 220 kV Transmission Line from Wanpoh to Mir Bazar (Ckt-1st & Ckt-2nd). The shutdown is being carried out for the preparation and readiness of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
Shutdown Schedule:
- Date: 28th May 2025
- Time: 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM
- Outage Load: 350 MW
Areas Affected:
- District Anantnag
- District Kulgam
- District Shopian
- District Pulwama (shall remain partially affected)
Grid Substations to be Affected:
- 132/33 kV GSS Mattan
- 132/33 kV GSS Kulgam
- 132/33 kV GSS Wanpoh
- 132/33 kV GSS Lissar
- 132/33 kV GSS Shopian
- 220/33 kV GIS Lassipora
Purpose of Shutdown: The shutdown is necessary to carry out essential maintenance work at the 475 MVA, 220/132 kV GSS Mir Bazar and the 220 kV New Wanpoh–Mir Bazar Transmission Line (Ckt-1st & 2nd).
The Power Controller Kashmir has requested the general public and concerned authorities to note the shutdown and cooperate accordingly. Publicity through electronic and print media has also been advised to inform residents about the power interruption.
